Read-only access

By default, every AI Gurus Group connector is read-only. It can read and report on your books — reports, lists, lookups — but it cannot create, edit, approve, or delete anything.

How it is enforced​

Read-only is enforced at the gateway using a strict allowlist: only explicitly permitted read operations are exposed to your AI assistant. Anything else — including any operation the underlying platform might add in future — is hidden by default. This "fail-closed" approach means a write capability can never be exposed by accident.

For QuickBooks Online, write operations are additionally disabled at the source.

What this means​

  • You can confidently let an AI assistant explore your books without any risk of it changing them.
  • If you ask the assistant to make a change ("create an invoice", "approve this timesheet"), it will explain that it has read-only access.

Write access is not enabled today. If AI Gurus Group offers write-enabled connectors in future, they will be a separate, clearly-labelled, opt-in choice.
